    Design Inspiration

    It is said that when the gods of AESIR and Varna finished their war with each other; when the two sides made peace, the gods of both sides spat some spittle in a vessel as a kind of oath of affirmation. This mixture of spittle was later created by the gods into a small object called Kvasir, famous for its wisdom, which often helps and guides humans on earth.
    When Brgai was born, the gnomes gave him a golden harp and carried him on one of their boats to send him to the outside world. When the boat slowly sailed out of the darkness of the underground springs and reached the border of the Land of the Dead, Brgai , who had been motionless, suddenly sat up, picked up the golden harp by his side, and began to sing the divine song of life. This song reached the clouds, straight into the kingdom of the gods, down into the ground, until the goddess of death Hel's residence. While singing, the boat arrived at the place where there was sunlight and touched the shore. Then Brgai disembarked, played the lute, and walked through the withered and desolate woods; and immediately the trees sprouted and blossomed, and all things came to life.
    The name Brgai, considered the god of poetry and music, is also used by the Norse as a name for "poetry". At the annual festival, the Brgai are also celebrated with great pomp and ceremony. At that time, the celebrant drinks the ceremonial wine in a boat-shaped cup (first with his hand in the shape of a hammer), and then describes what he wants to accomplish during the year. Each year, those present at the festival follow the same pattern as the officiant, even if they are too ambitious in their hopes. This is almost like the "poetry of the will".
