    Design Inspiration

    “DieWalkure" is the second couplet from German musician Wagner's famous serial opera "The Ring of the Nibelungen". RideoftheValkyries" is taken from "Die Walkure", the plot of the opera is a continuation of "Gold of the Rhine". They are usually the daughters of kings from the earth, or Odin's own daughters, or virgin warriors who have sworn to serve the gods and have been chosen by the gods to go to heaven.
    They are portrayed as: wearing gold or silver helmets, wearing blood-red tight-fitting battle robes, wearing helmets decorated with feathers or bird wings on their heads, carrying glowing spears and shields, and riding small, tough white horses. They are generally believed to be personifications of fog or clouds. And they ride white horses, people imagine that the horse's mane can fall between the frost and dew, so these horses are also respected.
    To the Norse, the Valkyries and their horses are considered to be of benefit to mankind. The Northern Light (AuroraBorealis) is sometimes thought to be the glow of the Valkyries' armor as they drive their horses through the night sky. They have the magic power to transform into swans, and some say that Fylgar (Fylgja) is their prototype. The Valkyries did not only choose brave war dead on the battlefield on land, they also went to the sea and chose brave Vikings who were going to die from the sunken great dragon ships.
